Chapter 21

Chapter 22

Chapter 1


Moses' speech, in the fortieth year, briefly reviewing the story (1:1-5) of God's promise, and of giving them officers (1:6-18) of sending the spies to search the land (1:19-33) of God's anger at their incredulity and disobedience (1:34-40) Defeat at Hormah (1:41-46)

Chapter 2


The story is continued, that they were not to meddle with the Edomites (2:1-8) Not to meddle with the Moabites (2:9-16) Not to meddle with the Ammonites (2:17-23) but Sihon the Amorite was subdued by them (2:24-37)

Chapter 3

Chapter 13

Chapter 14


God's children are not to disfigure themselves in mourning (14:1-2) What may, and what may not be eaten (14:3) What beasts you may eat and what you can't eat (14:4-8) What fishes you may eat and what you can't eat (14:9-10) What fowls you may eat andf what you can't eat (14:11-20) Animals which dies of itself may not be eaten (14:21) Tithes of divine service (14:22) Tithes and firstlings eaten before the Lord (14:23-27) In the third year tithe of alms (14:28-29)

Chapter 15


In the seventh year release for the poor (15:1-6) Sending or giving to the needy must continue (15:7-11) A Hebrew slave (15:12) Unless he will not leave, must in the seventh year go forth free and well provisioned (15:13-18) Offering fhe firstling (15:19-23)

Chapter 16


The feast of the passover (16:1-8) The Feast of weeks (16:9-12) The Feast of tabernacles (16:13-15) Every male must offer at these three feasts, according to his blessing from the Lord (16:16-17) Of judges and justice (16:18-20) Groves aren't allowed near the altar of God and images are forbidden (16:21-22)

Chapter 17


The things sacrificed must be sound (17:1) Idolaters must be slain (17:2-7) Hard controversies are to be ruled up on by the priests and judges (17:8-11) The condemner of their decision must die (17:12-13) The election and duty of a king (17:14-17) He shall be guided by the law of the Lord (17:18-20)

Chapter 18


The rightful dues of the priests and Levites are the offerings to the Lord (18:1-2) The priest's due and the Levite's portion (18:3-8) The abominations of the nations are to be avoided (18:9-14) Christ the Prophet is foretold. The people are to hearken unto Him (18:15-19) God commands that the presumptuous prophet is to die (18:20-22)

Chapter 19


The cities of refuge (19:1-3) These are provided for the man who kills another unintentionally (19:4-13) The neighbor's landmark is not to be removed (19:14) Two witnesses, at least, required (19:15) The punishment of a false witness (19:16-21)

Chapter 20


The priest's exhortation to encourage the people to battle (20:1-4) Men who are to be dismissed from the war (20:5-9) What to do to the cities that accept or refuse the proclamation of peace (20:10-15) What cities must be dedicated (20:16-18) Man's food trees must not be destroyed (20:19-20)

Chapter 21


Atonement for an uncertain murder (21:1-9) The treatment of a captive taken for a wife (21:10-14) The firstborn is not to be disinherited on private preference (21:15-17) A stubborn son shall be stoned to death (21:18-21) The body must not hang all night on a tree (21:22-23)

Chapter 22


Of humanity toward brethren (22:1-4) The sex is to be distinguished by clothes you wear (22:5) The dam is not to be taken with her young ones (22:6-7) The house must have battlements (22:8) Confusion is to be avoided (22:9-11) Fringes upon the vesture (22:12) The punishment of the one who slanders his wife (22:13-19) The punishment of adultery (22:20-24) The punishmentof rape (22:25-28) The punishment of fornication (22:28-29) Incest (22:30)

Chapter 24
